No Primary for Library Board as Candidates Run Uncontested

The deadline to file for the Board of Trustees expired at 4 p.m. Monday.

The five open seats were filed with no contests so there is no need for an August primary, Ferndale City Clerk Cherilynn Tallman said.

The election will take place Nov. 8.

The official candidate list

For six-year term, ending Dec. 31, 2017, candidates are:

• James O’Donnell (incumbent, current vice president)
• John Sterritt (incumbent, current president)

For a four-year term, ending Dec. 31, 2015, the candidate is:

• Tiffani Gagné (incumbent, appointed late last year to an open seat)

For a two-year partial term ending Dec. 31, 2013, the candidates are:

• Judeen Bartos (incumbent, appointed early this year to an open seat)

• Monique Herzig
