MADISON HEIGHTS, MI — A popular Detroit food truck opened its first dine-in location Friday in Oakland County.

It quickly gathered a local following for its Detroit-style cheesesteak, Fisher Freeway Fish and shawarma sandwiches. They are also known for their smoked chicken and addictive garlic cilantro fries.
The brothers then opened a pop-up restaurant at the former Sears Auto Center near Oakland Mall to test demand. The overwhelming response convinced them to open a permanent location.

"Madison Heights is exactly where we want to be," Nassar said. "We started by feeding truck drivers—people who want real food at a fair price. We’re not trying to be a destination restaurant where you visit once for Instagram. We want to be the place you stop for lunch, on your way home from work, where you know the staff and they know your order. That’s what a neighborhood sandwich shop should be."
The new Detroit 75 restaurant's interior features a "retro-diner esthetic" with terrazzo-style floors and recycled Faygo pop bottles sealed into the tabletops.
During Lent, their menu will feature a fish sandwich with varieties, including catfish, haddock and Lake Erie walleye. They will also have fish and chips and a shrimp po’ boy.
The owners poured $1.5 million into the restaurant and will hire 25 full-time workers.
Detroit 75 has earned national recognition, as US Weekly ranked them as one of the Top 3 Food Trucks in the country.
Detroit 75 in Madison Heights will be open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Saturdays, they're open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and closed Sundays.
