The warrant charging the suspect, who reportedly met up with the teen at his apartment in the 23500 block of Woodward Avenue on Jan. 5, with felony assault was forwarded to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office Wednesday.

Police allege the suspect stabbed the teen shortly after arriving at the apartment. The teen reportedly said he wasn’t interested in having sex with the man after a disagreement about money.

The victim was taken by paramedics Beaumont Hospital – Royal Oak, where he received more than 40 stitches. Ferndale police said he had a severe laceration to his arm that nearly severed his bicep.

Three friends of the victim, who were in the apartment at the time of the attack, reportedly chased the suspect, who drove away in a Dodge Ram pickup. He reportedly hit a parked car on West Drayton, and police tracked him down later through their investigation.

If convicted of assault with intent to cause great bodily harm, the suspect faces up to 10 years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
