Sign Up the Kids for Ice Cream Camp

Got some kids who need a diversion while you shop during holiday break?

Well, now they can all scream for ice cream, and not for something to do, thanks to a nifty day camp offered at .

Kids Winter Break Ice Cream Camp is a half-day camp that will have kids ages 8-16 designing and making their own ice cream flavors and competing in teams. Each team's flavor will be served at Treat Dreams the next day.

The camp will be offered Dec. 19-23 and Dec. 26-30. The $35 cost includes a three-hour session, two pints of ice cream and a T-shirt.

Owner Scott Moloney says those interested can sign up in the store. "We have a calendar there with all of the open slots," he said. "There are two sessions each day: one from 9 a.m. to noon and one from 1 to 4 p.m."  

The size of each class is limited to eight.
