Who's Sweeter: Ducks or Ferndale Workers Who Saved Them?
Ferndale workers rescue orphaned ducks, and the city's Facebook fans love that about them.

FERNDALE, MI — Here’s a smiler for you: City workers cleaning up a section of Eight Mile Road Thursday saved a brood of orphaned ducklings from almost certain death after their mother was hit and killed in traffic.
The Department of Public Works staff took the tiny orphans “under their wing” and saved their lives, according to a post on the city’s Facebook page.

“All in a day’s work for our awesome DPW team!” the city wote.
The post generated kudos for the DPW team, who were called “compassionate” and “awesome.”
