The position offers 24/7 shift options, union-negotiated pay, strong benefits, and tuition support for employees and dependents.
   

2. Mott Community College partners with Hurley Medical Center and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine to train future physicians (theflintcouriernews.com) — Mott Community College in Flint is teaming up with Hurley Medical Center and MSU's College of Human Medicine to bring medical residents and students into MCC's simulation lab for hands-on training. Over multiple Friday sessions and future clerkships, the partnership aims to strengthen communication and clinical skills while building a stronger health care pipeline to serve Flint and Genesee County residents.
   

3. Mayor Neeley and community leaders celebrate ongoing reconstruction of Historic St. John Street Neighborhood Memorial Park (theflintcouriernews.com) — Flint residents are seeing major progress at the St. John Street Neighborhood Memorial Park, where a $1.2 million reconstruction is adding a historic playground, walking path, pavilion, and Flint River Trail connection. City leaders and neighbors say the project honors a once-thriving Black business district displaced by I-475 while creating a new gathering space for education, recreation, and community events on the north side.
   

4. Greater Flint Arts Council celebrates newly renovated center (midmichigannow.com) — A newly renovated Greater Flint Arts Council center has opened on South Saginaw Street, giving residents expanded classrooms, dance and creative spaces, and a theater right in the city. Local artists and supporters say the $1.25 million Mott Foundation–backed project will create more chances for Flint residents of all ages to learn, perform, and connect.
   

5. 'Mom, I feel like I made it': Flint-area native Eric Bennett reached 102nd floor of World Trade Center, then 9/11 happened (abc12.com) — A Flint mother is reflecting on the 25 years since her son, Kearsley High School graduate Eric Bennett, died in the World Trade Center attacks. She shares how his athletic legacy, a memorial scholarship, and her grandchildren's achievements keep his memory alive while she embraces new experiences instead of attending this year's 9/11 ceremony.
