Investigators later found Frazier's body on Kent Street, and the case was ruled a homicide. The suspect is being held without bond and returns to court Oct. 1 as police continue seeking tips from Flint-area residents.
3. Mid-Michigan Honor Flight veterans receive cheers as they return home (abc12.com) — Veterans returning to Flint's Bishop International Airport with the Mid-Michigan Honor Flight were greeted by cheering crowds, flags, and a long-overdue "welcome home." The free trip took World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam veterans to Washington, D.C., and organizers are already planning the next flight from Traverse City in October.
4. Hurley Children's Hospital unveils Flint Firebirds-themed multipurpose room (midmichigannow.com) — Families at Hurley Children's Hospital in Flint now have access to a new Flint Firebirds-themed multipurpose room designed for kids' activities, family meetings, and staff training. Funded through the team's Spaghetti On Ice charity event, the flexible space gives young patients a break from their hospital rooms while supporting more private, supportive conversations with care teams.
5. RESCUE ROUNDUP: Senior dog Henry looking for a calm place to call home (midmichigannow.com) — A senior dog named Henry is waiting at Genesee County Animal Care in Flint for a calm, patient home where he can finish heartworm treatment and settle in. Staff say the 8-year-old, 90-pound pup is shy at first but quickly becomes a gentle, goofy companion who would thrive in a relaxed, low-stress household.
