Flint MTA proposes route changes, new downtown loop (wnem.com) โ Flint bus riders could see a new downtown loop connecting Kettering University, the Cultural Center, Mott's campus and UM-Flint, along with changes to seven existing routes and a new Route 14. The MTA is keeping fares the same and asking residents for feedback at two open houses Thursday at the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library.

Big Brothers Big Sisters to honor community champions at 2026 Big Celebration in Flint (mlive.com) โ Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flint & Genesee County is hosting its 2026 Big Celebration on Friday, Nov. 13 at St. Michael's Conference & Event Center in Flint, honoring mentors and community partners who support local youth. Tickets are $75, with proceeds funding mentoring programs serving about 500 Flint and Genesee County children each year.

Weekend fire closes Mega Classic Diner in Flint Township (wnem.com) โ A weekend fire has shut down the Mega Classic Diner in Flint Township, leaving its future uncertain and employees suddenly out of work and waiting on delayed paychecks. The Flint Township Fire Department is investigating the Saturday night blaze, while staff like dishwasher Rayvonte McKinney hope the restaurant can eventually reopen so they can return to work.

El-Sayed stops in Flint, discusses economic pressures and failures (abc12.com) โ U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed recently held a town hall at St. Michael's Conference Center in Flint, calling the city a symbol of broader economic and policy failures. He highlighted Flint's water crisis, labor history and economic pressures while contrasting his visit with a separate stop by Republican candidate Mike Rogers in Saginaw.
