Flint Kids Enjoy 2nd annual Pack Your Back: Stuff Your Stocking
1,000 Flint children get backpacks and school supplies. Nestlé Waters' support provides 6,500 toys.
FLINT , Mi. - Pack Your Back’s annual holiday giving campaign, Stuff Your Stocking provided toys, backpacks, school supplies and boxes of food to more than 1,000 Flint children at Mott Community College on Saturday, Dec. 22.
Pack Your Back was started in 2016 when a few students at Central Michigan, spearheaded by Executive Director Galen Miller, decided they wanted to help Flint residents in the wake of the water crisis.
"A lot of families are unable to provide for their children during the holidays," Miller said, "With this, we just wanted these children to get the experience of getting toys and then getting to go home on Christmas and be able to play with these toys."
