MCC keeps the good vibrations going this summer with the addition of Drive-in Movies added to its Summer Vibes series. The College will screen Black Panther on July 23 and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off on August 13. Both movies will be projected on an outdoor screen in the parking lot adjacent to the MCC Event Center on the main campus in Flint.
The pre-movie party starts at 8 p.m., with movies starting at 9:30 p.m. There will be free pizza, popcorn and snacks while supplies last. Attendees are welcome to bring a lawn chair or sit inside their car. The MCC Event Center will be open for restroom access. For more information contact pmuckenthaler@mcc.edu.

“The ‘Summer Vibes’ events are a gift from the College to the community as we emerge from a very challenging and difficult time,” said MCC President, Dr. Beverly Walker-Griffea. “MCC has a long history of being a catalyst for community connections, and now that it is becoming safer to gather again, we are thrilled to re-engage with the community by hosting these free events.”
The Summer Vibes FREE Basketball program continues through August 13. The program, for men and women aged 16 to 40, offers two options, Open Gym on Tuesday and Thursday from 9 PM to Midnight, and Wednesday from 9 to 10 PM; and the MCC Summer League on Wednesdays from 10 PM to Midnight. There is no pre-registration necessary for the Open Gym sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Players are welcome to drop in anytime. Late night basketball will include free pizza, water, pop and prizes.
