Temporary Water Service Disruption Planned Tuesday And Wednesday In Parts Of Flint
The water will be shut off for additional work on the water line in the area as part of the East Court Street Rehabilitation Project.
FLINT, Michigan—A temporary water service disruption is planned for Tuesday and Wednesday (July 21-22, 2020) for a one block area of three streets in the College and Cultural Neighborhood as work crews continue making much needed repairs to the city infrastructure.
The water will be shut off for additional work on the water line in the area as part of the East Court Street Rehabilitation Project. The impacted area includes:

• Maxine Street between East Court Street and Calumet Street,
• Blanchard Avenue between East Court Street and Calumet Street, and
• East Court Street between Maxine Street and Blanchard Avenue.
The water is expected to be shut off for the impacted areas at approximately 10 a.m. both days and be off for approximately four hours both days. All times given are estimates the exact timing of the water service disruption change based on findings made by the crew while performing work.

Workers will wait as long as possible to shut off water and will restore it as quickly as possible. They also are going door-to-door in the affected area to alert residents of the water disruption.
