• Veo Replaces Lime In Grand Rapids On September 1st (wgrd.com subscription) — If you rely on scooters or e-bikes to get around Grand Rapids, Lime is out and Veo is in starting September 1 under a new three-year city contract. Veo will bring mostly seated scooters, e-bikes, and even self-balancing trikes, plus a $5 monthly access plan with daily free ride minutes. Many devices will also use radar to curb sidewalk riding without raising prices for at least three years.

Researchers warn that such smoke events are likely to become more frequent, longer-lasting, and more dangerous, driven by hotter, drier conditions and increasing wildfire activity across North America.
