  1. One person has been injured in a Grand Rapids shooting on Sunday. The incident occurred at the 400 block of Cherry Street where an individual was shot in the chest. The Grand Rapids Police Department reported that the injuries were not considered life-threatening. (WOODTV.com)
  2. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Grand Rapids private schools saw an increase in enrollment. According to officials in the school system, parents sought a reliable and safe return to in-person learning that the private schools supposedly offered. It is too soon to predict if the enrollment numbers will remain at the high levels after the pandemic. (MLive.com)
  3. The ACLU has won a legal battle over records of a Grand Rapids marine's detainment over immigration complications. The records contained medical, audio, and video records of a 2018 three-day detainment of Jilmar Ramos-Gomez. Grand Rapids City Officials reached a $190,000 settlement with the Ramos-Gomez family.
