Here are the top three stories in Grand Rapids today:
- The Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker has been handed the Patrick Lyoya shooting case. The prosecutor reports that he will need more information before making a decision. The forensic reports of the officer's body camera and the officer's taser are reportedly needed before a decision can be made, according to the prosecutor. The police union is defending the officer's right to defend himself. (WOODTV.com)
- Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is expanding its Tuesday Evening Music Club. The organization has released its biggest lineup of regional stars ever showcased at the event. The list includes The Accidentals, The Last Gasp Collective, and Lana Chalfoun. Admission is free to garden members. (localspins.com)
- The Grand Rapids Women's Resource Center has announced a $2 million campaign to renovate a new headquarters facility. The new building will be located at 816 Madison Ave. SE with expanded programming space. The organization is reportedly 60 percent to its stated fundraising goal for the project. (MLive.com)
