MI Man Kills Estranged Fiancee, Her 2 Kids: Charges
The accused shooter is the woman's estranged fiancé, according to a local report.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A man has been arrested in connection with a Tuesday triple shooting that killed a mother and her two sons in Grand Rapids, according to a report by WOOD-TV.
Charles Broomfield, 44, faces three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony in connection with the shooting. He was placed in the Kent County Jail without bond, court records show.
Prosecutors did not immediately reveal his next court date. First-degree murder carries an automatic life sentence.

The shooting happened at 7:40 a.m. at a home in the 900 block of Worden Street Southeast in Grand Rapids, where officers found a woman and two children shot to death, police said.
Grand Rapids Police Chief Eric Winstrom called the shooting "pure homicide."

News reports identified the victims as Jacqueline Neill and her sons, 15-year-old Cameron Kilpatrick and 13-year-old Michael Kilpatrick.
Broomfield is Neill’s estranged fiancé, according to the WOOD-TV report.
Police have not disclosed a motive for the shooting.
