Hello again, Grand Rapids! Important update: You all, as readers, have made the Grand Rapids Daily so successful that it is my honor to announce the next stage of the newsletter. Patch is looking for a local writer and entrepreneur to take the helm of the Grand Rapids Daily. Here are the top three stories today in Grand Rapids:
- Grand Rapids Public Schools is hosting a citywide art show from Apr. 27 through May 6. The artwork will be made by students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Over 60 schools will be providing more than 2,000 different unique pieces of artwork for the exhibit. (FOX 17 West Michigan News)
- Michigan's Republican party chose nominees for statewide races at Grand Rapids Convention Center. The meeting saw thousands of delegates congregating to cast ballots on who they ultimately wanted to see on statewide ballots in the next election. - Grand Rapids WhiteWater is searching for a management team to begin the restoration project of the Grand River. The river is one of the region's most valuable natural resources that put Grand Rapids on the map.
