• Home, gun and car safety freebies (grossepointenews.com) — Grosse Pointe Park residents can now pick up free smoke alarms, gun locks, and steering wheel locks from the city's Department of Public Safety, thanks to a state grant and national safety partners. The program aims to reduce home fires, accidental shootings, and car thefts, and officers will even help install alarms for those who need assistance.
   

• Park resident achieves improbable golf feat (grossepointenews.com) — Grosse Pointe Park resident Heath Roberts pulled off an almost unbelievable golf milestone, scoring two holes-in-one in a single round during a friends' trip to northern Michigan. Though he only golfs a few times a year, his double ace at True North Golf Club turned an ordinary outing into a once-in-a-lifetime story he and his Park neighbors can brag about.
   

• Woods getting access to school cameras (grossepointenews.com) — Grosse Pointe Woods public safety officers will now have direct access to school security cameras during emergencies, joining Grosse Pointe Park and Grosse Pointe Farms under a shared agreement with the school district. The memorandum of understanding, which the Park signed earlier, sets rules for when cameras can be viewed, how footage is preserved, and how each activation must be documented.
