12 Grosse Pointe YAF Students Travel to DC
Twelve students—9 from Grosse Pointe North Young Americans for Freedom and three from Grosse Pointe South Young Americans for Freedom—loaded a packed bus with other Michiganders departing for a memorable experience in DC & Gettysburg.

Young America’s Foundation’s National High School Leadership Conference is the largest of it’s kind in the Conservative Movement, and a bus full of members of their chapter affiliate Young Americans for Freedom from the Grosse Pointe high schools attended to sharpen their conservative activism through a “crash course” in conservative thought.
Twelve students—9 from Grosse Pointe North Young Americans for Freedom and three from Grosse Pointe South Young Americans for Freedom—loaded a packed bus with other Michiganders departing from Grosse Pointe North High School July 9th. They ventured on tours of Gettysburg and Washington D.C., and more importantly, the students gained incredible knowledge from influential speakers such as Michigan Congressman Bill Huizenga, television personality Rachel Campos Duffy, author Katie Pavlich, YAF President Ron Robinson, YAF Vice-President Patrick Coyle, and more.
Grosse Pointe North Chapter Chair, Grant Strobl is excited for the future of the Conservative Movement in the Pointes. “The YAF High School Conference was truly inspirational, our members are supercharged and ready to make Young Americans for Freedom more active than ever in the pointes,” Strobl said.
South Chapter Chairman, Drake Lyon, added “The conference helped inspire members of our chapters to do more in our community to promote conservative values.”
