2 Dead, 1 Injured In Harper Woods Domestic Stabbing: Police

HARPER WOODS, MI — Two people are dead and another injured after a domestic dispute inside a Harper Woods home led to a seven hour standoff with officers, police said.

A man stabbed his girlfriend and father to death and injured his mother as she ran out of the home with her one-year-old grandchild, WXYZ reported. The mother was still in critical condition.

The incident happened on the 20600 block of Kenosha near Moross Road and Interstate 94, police said.

As officers approached the home Sunday night, a gunman fired shots at officers as he barricaded himself inside the home, Michigan State Police said.

The standoff came to an end when officers breached the home and the shooter surrendered to officers, reports said. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.
