Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group
Services for Older Citizens will host the Group beginning January 15, 2015.
Beginning January 15, 2015, Services for Older Citizens will host an Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group on the Third Thursday of every month, at 6:00pm. The group will work with an Alzheimer’s Association - Greater Michigan Chapter, trained Facilitator.
Often times, we hear caregivers say they are looking for support from people who “really understand because they have been there too.” An Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group offers just that ~ a safe place for caregivers, family, and friends of persons with dementia to meet and develop a mutual support system. It’s a place to: Exchange practical information on care giving problems and possible solutions. Talk through challenges and ways of coping. Share feelings, needs and concerns.
