HARPER WOODS, MI — One person was arrested in connection with a shooting involving officers Tuesday morning in Wayne County, according to police.
The shooting happened during a police investigation in the area of eastbound Interstate 94 between Moross and Vernier roads in Harper Woods, according to police.
There were no injuries, but one person was arrested, according to police.
It was immediately unclear what police were investigating before the shooting.
Police asked residents at 10:41 a.m. Tuesday to shelter in place while officers searched the area. All eastbound lanes on Interstate 94 in the area were closed. The freeway has since reopened.
Michigan State Police is leading the investigation with assistance from several local agencies.
