Beaumont, Grosse Pointe Classic Benefits Cardiac Care
Pickleball and Bridge Tournament for Non-Golfers

On Monday, June 24, the Grosse Pointe Classic will be hosted at the Country Club of Detroit. Funds raised at this annual event will benefit the renovation of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Beaumont, Grosse Pointe. Approximately 200 participants are expected to play golf, play pickleball or join a Chicago-style bridge tournament, followed by cocktails, a strolling dinner, gifts and prizes. Landmark Healthcare Facilities and Flagstar Bank are among the sponsors supporting the event.
Powell Corbett and Julie Kaiser, both of Grosse Pointe Farms, are the 2019 event co-chairs. “We are honored to chair this important event,” said Julie Kaiser. “The outing is a great opportunity to support our community’s hospital and to have a hand in its growth.”
“Last year, we were proud to raise more than $226,000 to benefit Beaumont Grosse Pointe’s Breast Care Center and the creation of a new hybrid surgical suite,” added Powell Corbett. “This year, our fundraising efforts will concentrate on support for the many area residents suffering from heart issues.”
