I'm your typical mom running around The Pointes trying to get her kids to a million different places. You'll find me at , the Y, Mother's Day Out, (oooh my favorite!). You get the drift. But somehow in the mom shuffle, I forgot a little about myself. Tends to happen right?
Last year, I finally made the dedication to work out regularly like I used to before children, but something was still missing. My diet. It's horrible. We don't do fast food, but my husband and I love to eat out. Thai? Yes, please! Breakfast? Well that consists of an energy bar eaten on the way to the Y. Lunch? Typically a Lean Cuisine. And I love those yougurts that have the M&M's in them!
I hate vegetables. There, I said it. But at 30, it's about time I start acting like a grown up. So when a friend said she wanted to do a juice fast, I was on board to do it myself. I also just watched a documentary on Netflex called Sick, Fat, and Nearly Dead while working out on by beloved elliptical a few weeks ago. An Australian guy goes on a juice fast for a couble of months while traveling around America.

I'm looking for a reboot to a system that loves Thai noodles and chocolate granola bars.
So tomorrow is the big day. The Big Boss (the name of my juicer, not my husband) just arrived. I went to a fresh market and picked up a ton of kale, beets, pineapple, blueberries, strawberries, pears, apples, oranges, Swiss chard, cucumbers, and carrots (my loot is pictured). I will also be drinking a significant amount of water. I'm hoping for seven days. We shall see, and I'll be sure to post the results.
