My predictions for the 2nd round of the NBA Playoffs.
As the NBA Playoffs march on, the bracket is down to 8 teams
as the conference semifinals begin.
Let’s analyze the matchups:
Eastern Conference:
Miami Heat VS Indiana Pacers
REGULAR SEASON SERIES: Miami won 3-1.

OVERVIEW: Miami has one of the most explosive and consistent offenses in the NBA. Chris Bosh, Lebron James, and Dwayne Wade are probably one of the best trios in the league today. Indiana will rely on the hot shooting of Danny Granger and George Hill, but I don’t see them doing so hot in this series overall.
PREDICTION: Heat in 5.

Philadelphia 76ers VS Boston Celtics
REGULAR SEASON SERIES: Philadelphia won 2-1.
OVERVIEW: The 76ers are riding a wave of momentum after upsetting the Chicago Bulls in the 1st round of the playoffs. Boston is coming off a hard-fought series with the Atlanta Hawks. Both teams will be relying on star power to help them in this series. Boston will look for Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo, and Ray Allen to help lead the way, while Philadelphia will look for Andre Iguodala to have big games for them. With home-court advantage in their favor, I see Boston winning in a very short series.
PREDICTION: Celtics in 5.
Western Conference:
Los Angeles Lakers VS Oklahoma City Thunder
REGULAR SEASON SERIES: Oklahoma City won 2-1.
OVERVIEW: If there was ever a team that could seriously give Kobe Bryant and
the Lakers a run for their money, it’s Oklahoma City. They’re a much improved
team from last year when they pushed the Lakers to the limit of 7 grueling,
hard-fought games. Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant will be go-to-guys for
them. This series will be an exciting one to watch.
PREDICTION: Thunder in 7.
Los Angeles Clippers VS San Antonio Spurs
REGULAR SEASON SERIES: San Antonio won 2-1.
OVERVIEW: San Antonio breezed past Utah in the first round, while the Clippers were pushed to the limit of 7 games by the Memphis Grizzlies. The Spurs are playing some of their best basketball this playoff season, but you can never count the Clippers out, especially with Chris Paul out looking to do some damage. Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobli, and Tony Parker will have to play just as good as they did against Utah, if not better in order for the Spurs to move on to the conference finals.
PREDICTION: Spurs in 6.
