New Jackson brewpub opens in long-closed site off I-94
The Local Pub & Brewery has opened in Jackson in the former home of Zigs Kettle & Brew. For anyone who loves beer and has traversed the state on I-94, they've seen this rather large building on the south side of the highway in Jackson with shiny stainless steel fermenting tanks visible through the windows. The site had been out of operation for seven years, according to the Jackson Citizen Patriot.
It will specialize in session beers, meaning, beers without a lot of alcohol or intense flavors. The beers might include most German lagers, English brown and bitters, IPAs, and dry Irish stouts.
