Take a Tour for American Craft Beer Week

Next week is American Craft Beer Week and though it's not up there yet with other great weeks of celebration, I will agree to drink some good beer to honor it. Each state in the country has some kind of ACBW event and Michigan's is in Royal Oak. 

You can hop on a tour on the 14th and it will take you to Fort Street Brewery in Lincoln Park, to Atwater Block Brewery in Detroit and return to Royal Oak at Lily's Seafood & Brewery.

Fort Street Brewery is a great spot with inexpensive food and beers, Atwater Block is huge inside with a cool view of the fermenting tanks and has a neat collection of old Detroit beer paraphenalia. is more restaurant than brewery, but makes a nice selection of beers.
