The Grosse Pointe Art Center has a number of things going on in January and February, including:
- A new show, "Urban Edge," an exhibition of edgy urban art by area artists, opens Jan. 20. See drawings, paintings, sculptures and more inspired by city environments. On Jan. 21, Detroit-based artist Donald Calloway will speak. The "Urban Edge" show runs through Feb. 25.
- After Calloway speaks, Calista Southard, manager of 5150 Ink, will talk about the history of tattoes and piercings. She will speak at 1 p.m., and 5150 Ink will give away five piercings and a free tattoo. You need only be present to win.
- A memorial perspective of artist and member of GPAA Daniel Berdenski runs from Jan. 20-Feb. 25. See his works, including drawings and paintings, sketch diaries and more.
