Grosse Pointe Park is holding its fall campout, Camp Wind-Y-Mill, on Sept. 17, at Windmill Pointe Park. Enjoy an overnight sleepover out of doors. Check in Saturday at 2 p.m., find a site, pitch a tent, and enjoy playing in the park, fishing and camping close to home. Later in the evening there will be games and live music by the campfire. And of course, no camping is complete without s'mores. All the fixings will be provided.
On Sunday morning head to the Tompkins’ Community Center for breakfast. Check-out time is 2 p.m. Sunday.
Come to the Parks and Recreation office Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. starting Aug. 10 to sign up.
