Seniors are invited to enjoy a summer day seeing the sights of Port Huron on Thursday, July 28, with a trip sponsored by Grosse Pointe Woods Senior Services. Excursion includes round-trip transportation from the Community Center and lunch at the Thomas Edison Inn overlooking the St. Clair River. A 2-hour narrated cruise of the Blue Water area aboard the Huron Lady II and admission to and free time at the Thomas Edison Depot are also included on the itinerary.
Aboard the Huron Lady II spectators will have great views of Great Lakes freighters, two Blue Water bridges, the Fort Gratiot Lighthouse, St. Clair River, Lake Huron, Canada, and more. The Thomas Edison Depot Museum details Edison’s life starting with his time living in Port Huron as a boy, through to his accomplishments a premier American inventor.
Reservations for the July 28 Port Huron trip are $50 for Woods residents; $55 for non-residents. Reserve your seat at the Grosse Pointe Woods Community Center by July 11.
