Christ Church Grosse Pointe regularly presents classic and uplifting sacred music through its concert series.
May 22's concert is the “Music of Johann Sebastian Bach," where the Christ Church Schola and Orchestra perform Easter Oratorio BWV 249, Motet: Lobet den Herrn alle Heiden, BWV 230 and Cantata No. 87 “Bisher habt ihr nichts gebeten,” BWV 87.
Newly formed, the Schola is entirely made up of professional singers from the metropolitan Detroit area. It serves as the choir in residence when the Christ Church Choir of Men and Boys and Men and Girls are away.
