GP Woods Holds Fire Prevention Open House

The City of Grosse Pointe Woods will host a Fire Prevention Open House at the Public Safety Department.

Fire trucks, police cars, an ambulance, thermal-imaging camera and other equipment will be on display and experts will show how these tools work. Kids can try operating a "live' fire hose, and learn to safey exit a burning building in the "Smoke House" simulator.

Public safety officers will tell folks how to prevent fires and how to keep a family safe in case of emergency.
