Make Clay Jewelry

Take an art class and bust out of your winter doldrums.

Grosse Pointe Art Center is offering a variety of creative courses, including a Clay Jewelry Class. Taught by Nancy Drescher, you'll learn how to make clay pendants, pins and beads. All work is made of earthenware clay, which will be fired, glazed and made into finished pieces. Found and natural objects, textures, stamps and more will be used to create designs in the clay.

The fee, $70, covers materials, but students may bring their own items for impressing into clay, as well as items they would like to incorporate into their finished pieces.
