Santa to Light up the Holiday Season at ‘Woods Aglow’

Santa will be making a special stop in Grosse Pointe Woods for the “Woods Aglow” tree lighting festivities Tuesday, Nov. 22. The fun begins at 7 p.m. in front of City Hall, 20025 Mack Plaza.

Everyone — moms, dads, grandparents, and especially children — is invited to join the fun. There will be caroling by (and with) the Grosse Pointe North High School Choir. Guests can enjoy refreshments and sweet treats as they await the arrival of Santa Claus.

Mayor Robert E. Novitke will welcome Santa and present him with the key to the city. Mayor Novitke also will lead the countdown for the official “flip of the switch” that transforms City Hall into a holiday wonderland.
