St. Ambrose Oysterfest

St. Ambrose presents its 21st annual Oysterfest, held Monday, Sept. 26, from 5-9 p.m. under the giant tent at 15215 Kercheval, between Lakepointe and Beaconsfield.

Enjoy foods from more than 40 restaurants, including Andiamo Trattoria, Bella Café, Blue Bay Fish & Seafood, Blufin Sushi, Bucci’s, Brownie’s on the Lake, Burger Pointe, Buscemi’s, Cadieux Café, Detroit Yacht Club, Dylan’s Raw Bar & Grille, Fishbones, Harry’s of Grosse Pointe, Janet’s Lunch, National Coney Island, Park Grill, Pepperoni Grille, Rojo’s Mexican Bistro, Side Street Diner, Sierra Station, Sindbad’s, Sprout House, Sunrise Sunset and Waves Chill & Grill. Also, Chef Fred Whaley at The ARK at St. Ambrose, Mulier’s Market and Super Suppers will prepare special dishes. Dish, Johnny B.’s Cookies, Fou d’amour and the Kroger bakery, along with bakers from St. Ambrose, will provide desserts. Plus guests can enjoy a wide variety of beers and wines, some locally made.

There will be music to enjoy this evening as well, featuring the jazzy sounds of the Edgar Wallace Trio.

Tickets for the Oysterfest Raffle are on sale; they cost $5 each. The drawing will be held at 9 p.m. Sept. 26, and prizes include a 40" flatscreen high-definition TV, an Apple iPad, and a Kindle wireless reader.

Advance tickets for Oysterfest will be available by Labor Day. Cost is $25 for adults, or $12.50 for children under age 12. For more information, email stambrose@comcast.net.
