St. Michael's Church is holding an auction to raise funds for the Skinner 705 Organ it rescued from a Detroit house of worship. The Opus 705, built in 1928, is being restored by the folks at St. Michael's, to share its rare beauty and sound with the area.
The event will be held 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at the Assumption Cultural Center in St. Clair Shores. There will be cocktails and refreshments, dinner, and a live auction. The cost is $50 per person and includes beer, wine, and dinner.
