The Family Center presents: Tips for Getting Ready for Kindergarten

Expectations for kindergarten students have changed drastically in the last 10 years, and The Family Center of Grosse Pointe is helping parents ready their children entering school for the first time with a free seminar, Tips for Getting Ready for Kindergarten. Early Childhood Program Teacher Dorothy Heitjan and Speech-Pathologist Kristen DeVooght will provide attendees with useful information on what children need academically, socially and emotionally to prepare them for kindergarten. The seminar is designed for parents, caregivers or educators with preschoolers entering kindergarten next fall.
