Famous Elm City Girls Choir in Concert
Grosse Pointe Woods Presbyterian Church 2015 Concert Series "Concerts on the Corner"- Elm City Girls Choir 4pm Sunday February 15
On Sunday February 15, 2015 at 4:00 pm GPW Presbyterian Church will welcome the Elm City Girls Choir.
The Elm City Girls’ Choir consists of 30 expert teenage girl choristers, the top singers selected for this tour from a choral program of 600 singers based in New Haven, Connecticut. They will present a 60 minute concert in our sanctuary, consisting of various musical styles from classical to gospel. ECGC, as the choir informally calls itself, has performed with many notable ensembles, including the Boston Philharmonic and the Moscow State Orchestra. On the eve of their concert here, they will sing with the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra and the UMS Choral Union at Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor. We especially invite those under 18 to come to this Sunday afternoon concert and see the great artistic capabilities of this girls’ choir! Suggested donation: $10 per person, $5 students and seniors, max $25 per family. Join us! 4 pm Sunday February 15, doors open at 3:30 pm.
