The Grosse Pointe North varsity field hockey team had a hard won victory over rivals Grosse Pointe South Saturday on North's home field.
After dominating the first half, the Lady Norsemen went into half time up 2-0 with goals by seniors Anna Giordano and Katie Bowles.
The Lady Blue Devils rallied in the second half and tied the game 2-2 with goals from Lindsey Mestdaugh and Franny Aliotta.

The winning goal for North came in the last minute by Julia Henderson and ended the game with a final score of 3-2.
For North, Kate Lechner had two goal assists and Katie Boles had one assist. Goalie Marissa Stinson had 18 saves and Emily Mulier had 1 defensive save and Carmen Thomas had 3.
