Grosse Pointe City: Gas Leak on St. Clair Street

Gas main leak in the 500 block of St. Clair between Maumee and St. Paul.

According to a Nixle Report released at 7:02 a.m. Saturday, there is a gas main leak in the 500 block of St. Clair between Maumee and St. Paul.

SEMCO was notified and drilled holes to further vent the soil. They will be out on Monday, October 8 to repair the leak.

There is no risk to residents unless gas begins to enter homes through the sewer.

Although this is unlikely, if you smell gas, notify SEMCO or the Public Safety Department immediately.
