Hunt Club Tennis is proud to announce the title sponsor - Ahee Jewelers - and $10,000 purse for the 2014 USTA Midwest Open Mixed Doubles Championships.
The “Midwest Open Mixed Doubles Championships” (evolved from the “Western Open”) was the longest continuously running prize money mixed doubles tournament in the country until taking a brief hiatus from action.
In its peak, the tournament was the center of the tennis calendar in the Grosse Pointe communities. With over 50 local sponsors, over 100 local players and juniors from all of the local clubs and high schools, the tournament displayed the intense level of local talent and pitted them against some of the best players in the world.The tournament returns to Grosse Pointe Hunt Club in 2014 and will be held from March 12th, 2014 to March 16th.
