The Lake House Forms New Group to Support Cancer Caregivers
Caregivers of loved ones with cancer, The Lake House is a resource in supporting you too.

The Lake House, a gathering place providing support services to those touched by cancer, has formed a support group for cancer caregivers. The caregivers group meets every Wednesday at The Lake House (26701 Little Make, St. Clair Shores) at 6 p.m. to provide a forum for caregivers to share their experiences within a community that can relate.
According to the National Alliance for Caregiving there were approximately 43.5 million American caregivers in the last year alone. Caregivers range from spouses, to family and friends, and they typically go above and beyond, supporting their loved one(s) financially and emotionally. The Lake House’s caregivers group allows these very special people the opportunity to talk through anything and everything they are going through.
The Lake House offers a multitude of programs to assist those touched by cancer, from bereavement groups, to wellness activities – including yoga, a speaker series that features health care professionals and other experts that speak to a variety of cancer and general wellness topics.
