Grosse Pointe Hunt Club Shows How Tennis Teaching Has Evolved

Introducing Matrix Tennis School, a tennis teaching system that has been successfully taught for several years at the Grosse Pointe Hunt Club. Not only is this unique coaching method available at the Hunt Club it has been designed so that Matrix Tennis School can be contracted to provide junior programming at other facilities as well.

The way tennis is taught to juniors is constantly evolving. We have quickly transitioned from long lines where kids used to stand around waiting to hit one ball through to the USTA’s method of ‘making life more fun’ on the tennis court.

Matrix Tennis School plans to go one step further with a systematized, proven method for learning tennis easily.

The system features a multi-level scale (from beginners to world-class professionals), which benchmarks players so they know exactly where they are in their development, and was initially created to help players make and excel on their high school team.

From the committed family who have a child wishing to play the game at a certain level, players who have a deep desire to make and excel on a high school team, to the players who wish to go all the way and become an elite junior, college player or tennis touring pro that Matrix Tennis School is looking to serve.

Players at the Matrix Tennis School have the opportunity to take full advantage of the system and the coaching team’s passion for the game. Matrix Tennis School at the Grosse Pointe Hunt Club is the home of collegiate players, high school state champions and many top ranked junior players.

ABOUT MATRIX TENNIS SCHOOL:

Matrix Tennis School is the creation of Ken Prather, a tennis coach and parent, who wants’ to make tennis a life-changing experience for junior tennis players. Ken Prather played the junior USTA tournament circuit, was a high school state champion and played on a nationally-ranked team that finished #8 in the nation in NCAA Division III.
