North High School Earns High Marks for Media

Grosse Pointe North's student newspaper, North Pointe, earned the highest award given by the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association (MIPA). It was one of 13 student publications from around the state to earn the Spartan Award. 

Additionally, the yearbook, the Valhalla, earned a gold award from MIPA, according to advisor Shari Adwers, an English teacher. 

In addition to the overall awards for the publications, there were several individual awards, including:
