Santa Saga: Stars of Grosse Pointe Holiday Parade Won't Be Sold After All

Annual holiday parade Nov. 25 will feature many favorites including the historic sleigh float.

(Posted Nov. 16, 2016) GROSSE POINTE, MI – Relax, people. After some talk that Santa, Rudolph and sleigh , the opening float forever in Grosse Pointe's holiday parade, would be sold to another city, a deal has been workd out with philanthropists to ensure the beloved float stays home, the Grosse Pointe Times reported. The Nov. 25 parade and festivities include the Grosse Pointe Lions Club's 19th annual Happy Holidays Jingle Bell 5K Walk/Run starting at 9 a.m.
