Tonight we had a family dinner at Green Zone Pizza. Not only did we enjoy great pizza at a restaurant that is committed to local and sustainable foods, reusable dinnerware and "green" building materials, but we enjoyed the free Serviceberries that are growing right on Notre Dame all the way up to Mack. You will find this delicious fruit all over GP, we snacked on another one on Grayton street on our way home. The fruit looks and taste a little like blueberries, but it grows on a beautiful landscape tree. No food miles, no packaging, only delicious fruit. You may see us in the neighborhood trying to pick enough for a pie tomorrow!
