University of Michigan's Big House One of America's Most Drone-Worthy College Stadiums

Lawnstarter has ranked college football's most scenic stadiums from above — but don't you dare take a drone to Michigan Stadium.

So, there’s a new ranking out that says Michigan Stadium has been named one of America's 12 most drone-worthy stadiums in college football. That said, we would be remiss if we encouraged you to send up a drone to capture the view. Don’t do that. If you fly your unmanned or remote-controlled aircraft in the airspace of the home turf for the University of Michigan Wolverines, you’ll get in big trouble of the criminal sort.

Michigan Stadium’s sheer size — they don’t call it the Big House for nothing — is “really cool” and caught the notice of Lawnstarter, an Austin, Texas-based app that helps people find, schedule, pay for and manage lawn care services.

Michigan Stadium is the largest college football stadium in America with a seating capacity of 107,601.

Though you can’t bring your done, maybe you and your camera can hitch a ride on a Michigan National Guard Black Hawk helicopter, as Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh did Friday. No, you probably can't.

But bigger isn’t always better. Michigan ranked fourth on the list, behind stadiums in Washington, Colorado and Utah.

The company picked the drone-worthy stadiums based on the scenery that could be spotted from an aerial perspective. If a drone could capture nice scenery in and around the stadium, then it was worthy of consideration for the ranking.
