Viewfinder: "The Devils Wear..."
The Mother's Club of Grosse Pointe South held their annual Spring Benefit Luncheon & Fashion Show Tuesday in the school's gymnasium.
About 450 people attended the Grosse Pointe South Mother's Club annual fashion show, held as a fundraiser for the organization that puts the money back into the school, students and curriculum.
More than 250 students participated in the production of the show, which Club President Pamela Flom said was a success. She said the feedback she received during and immediately after the show was positive. Attendees enjoyed that this year's show was more of a show rather than just a runway walk, she said.
The show has always been a success and has been happening for decades. Originally it was a tea luncheon when the school first opened but morphed into a fashion show at some point, Flom said.

This year's theme was "The Devils Wear..." a spin off of the movie "The Devil Wears Prada," and especially appropriate considering the school's mascot: Blue Devils, Flom said.
There was a wide variety of production by the students including singing, dancing, acting, modeling and cooking by the commercial foods class which made strawberry shortcake as dessert in the form of a dress.
