WATERFORD TEACHER OF THE YEAR HONORED
Meghan Macy, Waterford Teacher of the Year, The Suburban Collection adds to the award
Meghan Macy, a first grade teacher at Schoolcraft Elementary School, has been selected at “Teacher of the Year” by the Waterford Foundation for Public Education. She is being honored on May 13 at the foundation’s Excellence in Education reception.
Adding to this honor, Suburban Ford of Waterford is awarding Ms. Macy with a two-year vehicle lease.
“Outstanding educators like Meghan Macy are so important to our community and deserve to be recognized and rewarded,” said David Fischer, Jr., General Manager of The Suburban Collection. “Our program of donating a vehicle lease expresses our thanks to the top teachers in the communities where we do business.”

Macy began her teaching career at Waterford Village Elementary School in 2008. She moved to Schoolcraft Elementary School in 2014.
In addition to Waterford, The Suburban Collection this year are awarding vehicle leases to “Teachers of the Year” in nine additional communities in Southeastern Michigan where they do business. These school systems include: Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Clarkston, Clinton, Farmington Hills, Ferndale, Novi, Sterling Heights/Utica and Troy.
