• Former Hamtramck city manager sues council for 'reckless' firing (detroitnews.com) — Hamtramck's former city manager Adel Al-Adlani is suing the city and several council members, claiming he was wrongfully and recklessly fired after raising concerns about a discounted property sale and other possible charter violations. The lawsuit, filed this month in Wayne County, adds to a growing list of legal battles involving Hamtramck officials, including prior claims of retaliation and election-related disputes that could affect how City Hall operates going forward.
   

• Wife of fake DTE worker sentenced to prison for role in murder (candgnews.com) — A Rochester Hills businessman who ran a jewelry store in Hamtramck was killed during a 2024 home invasion by men posing as DTE workers, and now an accomplice has been sentenced. Amanda Hernandez received seven to 20 years in prison for helping plan the crime and its cover-up, while the victim's family described their loss and his decades of hard work serving his community.
