
There was an armed robbery at the in Hartland at about 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, according to the Livingston County Sheriff's Department, which is still searching for the suspect and seeking help from the public.
"We're searching for anybody in the area who had videotapes and possibly seen him around from anywhere from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. last night," said Sheriff Bob Bezotte, who added the department has leads it's following up as well.
The suspect is described as a black male, in his mid-20s, from 5-foot-8 inches to 5-foot-10 inches talk, Bezotte said. He also was skinny, wearing blue shirt, blue jeans, blue flat brimmed baseball hat, he said.

Witnesses told police the man entered the front of the store store with a mask on and spoke softly while brandishing a hand gun, later leaving through the rear. He reportedly stole three phones worth $500 and $100 in cash, Bezotte said.
Police say they believe he could have been at other locations in the area before the crime because a patrol car had seen him at the before the hold up. Businesses can be especially useful if they have video footage of the suspect.

Bezotte also said the the man is believed to be involved in a similar crime in Oakland County about a month ago.
